I give praise and adoration to Almighty God. I praise the courage and determination of the good people of Osun State. I commend the patriotic men and women of goodwill, the young and the old, retirees, the forgotten class who have been left behind who chose to make sure our mandate was reclaimed. I am overwhelmed by your love and support and I do not take this trust you have bestowed on me for granted. Our state has turned a new page and I urge every illustrious son and daughter of our great state to work with me as we look forward to a bright future. We have launched a landmark path for progress and prosperity for our people. I will also like to use this opportunity to appreciate INEC Officials, Security agencies, all media outfits, Local and International observers and all others for insisting on Free and Fair election. Furthermore, I will like to specially recognize my very able PDP party Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, members of NWC, Our Presidential Candidate H.E Atiku Abubakar, and his Vice H.E Ifeanyin Okowa, Former Senate President Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Chairman of Election planning committee, H.E Governor Duoye Diri, H.E Governor Aminu Tambuwal, H.E Governor Godwin Obaseki, H.E Governor Seyi Makinde, H.E Governor Udom Emmanuel, Senator Biodun Olujimi and every other member of our great party for their support. It is therefore with strong faith in God and trust in our people that I accept my election as the Governor of Osun state.
